PHOTO CONTEST WINNER

I am both proud and grateful that my image “Bridge over troubled waters” has been awarded in the European Environment Agency’s (EEA) photo contest!

The photo was taken in Bjärred, Sweden, where the frozen sea once felt solid and timeless. But with every passing winter, the ice grows thinner and more fragile. By capturing people crossing the bridge over the fragile ice, I wanted to reflect a quiet but powerful truth that our climate is changing, and with it the landscapes and lives we once took for granted.

Receiving this recognition from the EEA jury and the support from everyone who voted for my photo is an incredible honor for me. For me, photography is not only about documenting moments, but also about raising awareness of issues that affect our shared future. 🌍❤️

A huge thank you to the EEA and to everyone who has supported me along the way. This award gives me even more motivation to continue using the camera as a tool to tell stories about climate, nature, and people.
