October-17 Soon on my way to a new tour to Kalahari in Namibia and South Africa. 20 nights to be spent in a tent in African national parks. The adventure goes on!
After soon one year as Research director at Ecophon I feel happy and have just been talking at Fotofestivalen in Eslöv (21/10-17) - "Blå Jungfrun - den hemlighetsfulla ön", as well as an exhibition with pictures on canvas.
The book on the National park Blå Jungfrun together with Martin Borg has been out for a while! During 2014 and 2015 we stayed on the island for more than 40 nights all together. We have covered the full circle of a year during the hours in a day. Summing up to more than 50 days of photography, this resulted in the largest photo documentation of the Swedish National Park Blå Jungfrun ever. The book is on 192 pages with over 300 pictures and can be ordered from the project homepage the National park Blå Jungfrun.
My Black tern project is now up for the sixth year. I have continued to follow the unique breeding place far from any common roads and paths on Öland. I go with mountain bike out early mornings and late nights to see them. It is still looking good and they have increased in number. A longer publication covering the place is almost ready to go.
I was born in Malmberget, Lappland and grew up in the Kalmar region, Småland with close connections to Öland. Since more than 25 years living in Lund, Skåne. Exploring and adventure is my home turf and when I began photographing in the 80s the pieces started to fall in place. About 20 years ago I combined travel, nature and photography and have since seriously photographed expeditions abroad and Swedish scenery with wildlife and landscapes as main subjects. I use various channels to publish my work and I am a member of Biofoto Sverige and PhotoNatura/PN.
My photographic vision is to make people willing to accept and take on a sustainable lifestyle. By publishing photos and texts of the world as we know it today my mission is to make an impact and make people aware of the urgent need for change to reach a lasting world tomorrow.
