December-16 Getting to an end and new start! Summing up a great year with close to 40 nights spent in a tent and more than 20 of those nights have been in African national parks and several of the other night in southern Swedish national parks. The adventure goes on! I will start 2017 on my new job as Research director at Ecophon and some days later a I will have a new exhibition - "Blå Jungfrun - En blå pärla", pictures on canvas 17/1 to 25/2 in Ljungbyholm’s library.
The book on the National park Blå Jungfrun together with Martin Borg is now published! During 2014 and 2015 we stayed on the island for more than 40 nights all together. We have covered the full circle of a year during the hours in a day. Summing up to more than 50 days of photography, this resulted in the largest photo documentation of the Swedish National Park Blå Jungfrun ever. The book is on 192 pages with over 300 pictures and can be ordered from the project homepage the National park Blå Jungfrun.
May/June-16: My Black tern project is now up for the fifth and definitely the last year. I have continued to follow the unique breeding place far from any common roads and paths on Öland. This year I was there to see them arrive in early May and then I have been there on several occasions. It is looking good and they have increased in number and are right now successfully raising their new family members. A longer publication covering the place is almost ready to go.
April-16: Just back from Namibia I received my new Nikon D500, which is a fantastic tool in the field. I have nothing but positive experiences from using it. It is fast, intuitive and always spot on. I am getting there!
I was born in Malmberget, Lappland and grew up in the Kalmar region, Småland with close connections to Öland. Since more than 25 years living in Lund, Skåne. Exploring and adventure is my home turf and when I began photographing in the 80s the pieces started to fall in place. About 20 years ago I combined travel, nature and photography and have since seriously photographed expeditions abroad and Swedish scenery with wildlife and landscapes as main subjects. I use various channels to publish my work and I am a member of Biofoto Sverige and PhotoNatura/PN.
My photographic vision is to make people willing to accept and take on a sustainable lifestyle. By publishing photos and texts of the world as we know it today my mission is to make an impact and make people aware of the urgent need for change to reach a lasting world tomorrow.
